Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need prior firearms experience to join a class?
No. Some of our courses, including Basic Handgun Familiarization and How to Handle a Gun, are designed for first-time and newer shooters. We start with safety, handling, and range etiquette before any live fire. Advanced and defensive classes list prerequisites — check the course details.
What do I need to bring to class?
Bring a valid photo ID, comfortable clothing, eye and ear protection (if you have them), and your firearm and ammunition if you own them and it meets the course/range specifications. Firearm rentals and hearing/eye protection are available for those who need them — see the class page for exact ammo recommendations.
Are gun rentals and ammo available at the range?
Yes. Firearms and ammunition are available to rent and purchase. If you plan to rent, reserve early and follow the class rental policy.
What safety measures do you use during training?
Safety is our top priority. Every class includes a detailed safety briefing and range rules review. Instructors enforce strict handling protocols, use controlled drills and clear verbal commands, and maintain appropriate instructor-to-student ratios. All sessions follow range-specific safety procedures and state regulations.
Is there a waiver or paperwork I must complete?
Yes. All participants must complete an electronic waiver and safety acknowledgement before participating. After booking, you’ll receive the waiver link in your confirmation email. Minors require guardian consent per our policy.
Can you provide training for groups, corporate teams, or law enforcement?
Yes. We offer custom group and corporate training - on-site or private range session - with tailored curricula. We also offer Law Enforcement HR 218 range qualifications. Contact [email protected] to discuss specific needs, pricing, and scheduling.
How do refunds, cancellations, and rescheduling work?
To receive a refund, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the class starts. One reschedule is allowed if requested before the class begins. Additional reschedules will incur a $25 fee. No-shows without prior cancellation or rescheduling will forfeit all paid fees.
